Lavanda Mansion Update
Well, the Halloween update is finally out. Yes, I'm not joking. This update should have been launched during Halloween, but I ended up taking way too long to finish it. Anyways, beside the many issues that happened on the way, I managed to finish this update.
Lavanda Mansion now accessible
The mysterious mansion located on the field Northwest of Lavanda Settlement is now accessible. Just interact with its door to enter.
You might be wondering: "But why that mansion managed to survive the War of Lavanda?", well, that's up for you to find out.
Meanwhile, you might end up bumping there into a creature that was left to be forgotten there. Who could be the owner of that mansion? And why they were locked out inside? You will have to find out.
The new dungeon is not really that big, but has 3 floors. 2 floors and a basement. Before you can have access to the second floor, you will have to do a little task to the gatekeeper of the stairway.
The mansion also brings in two new pets. One of them will catch you by surprise.
Some Extra Skills to Guild Members
I also added some extra skills to Guild Members.
Asphalion now has a skill which allows him to open your guild storage when you're in a safe area (like for example, in towns).
Of course, you can store and retrieve items from that storage when the skill is used.
And Umbra gained a racial Passive Skill, which increases the chance he'll luckly will dodge an attack, alongside boosting a bit critical rate.
I'll see to adding more skills to make guild members more interesting, as I get more ideas for them.
Buffed low level Monster Stats on certain fields
Some fields, like Gavea Farmlands and Travellers Path now have monsters with a different level compared to their default level.
Lower leveled monsters will gain a level boost based on the level cap of the map, making them not only tougher, but also boosting the
drop rate of items they have to offer.
In case that change bothers you, feel free to let me know, and I can revert that if enough people say they didn't like it.
Gavea Farmlands is lit
Some torches were added to the farms in Gavea Farmlands. Now should be better to see the npcs and the produces when exploring them at night.
Changelog
Candy Canes now correctly restore health.
=> Also increased the amount of health they restore from 35 to 65.
Clicking on a wall in dungeons like the Gavea Sewers will no longer have your characters try moving to the wall.
Added descriptions to many monsters in the game.
Endure skill now reduces physical damage received by percentage, instead of physical defense.
Grab skill now makes redirects attacks delivered frontally to the caster hit the grabbed target.
=> Yep, better not attack when an ally of yours is being grabbed by a Kangaroo Bully.
Asphalion got Open Storage skill.
=> This skill opens guild storage when used in a safe zone.
Fixed a bug that had some npcs, like Zombie Human Archer, to not be using the correct weapon in combat.
Added Lucky Cat passive skill to Umbra's Combat Techniques.
Lick Wound skill now removes bleeding effect from target.
Changed how skills are triggered now.
=> Now the skill will wait until the attack duration ends, instead of the attack cycle, before using the skill.
The camera will now face the correct direction when you leave Tyrone's house through its teleporter.
Bunnykin Soldier hats will now be affected by lightning.
Nerfed bleeding damage.
Increased cooldown of Spawn Minions skill from 30 seconds to 60 seconds.
=> That will make bosses that spawns minions respawn them less quickly.
Ko's Mother will now correctly glow.
Nightmare is now correctly a bad effect.
Lavanda Mansion is now accessible.
=> You can access the new area by going to the field Northwest of Lavanda Settlement, and walking all the way to the mansion.
Added 2 new pets to the game.
=> One of them you'll not even know you got.
Fixed a issue that prevented lavanda zombies from fighting each other.
Added Tiki Torches to Gavea Farmlands.
=> They're only in the farms.
=> Also nerfed their light range.
Touro's Recruitment now requires less reputation level with Gavea Kingdom.
Conclusion
Now that this update is out, I can try to focus on the other aspects of the game project, and also return to also tending my other projects, that have been somewhat neglected for about 4 months.
I feel like I under performed on this update, beside I focused my time working on it, without counting the times I had burnout... It's really awful when you have to work on stuff, but you don't have the willpower to proceed with it.
Anyways, I'll try to take it easy now at working on the project. Beside I'm kind of itching about the spirit animals idea, and even came to my mind what I could do about that.
What's next? Well... Beside the draft above, I have to finish the Gavea Farmlands quests. Farm Owner Clint and his Son doesn't have quest yet, so I should work on their questline. Also, Farm Owner Kara quests still need to be finished, beside the conclusion will require you to have helped the other farmers.
Gavea Sewers B3 need work too. Right now I only designed the floor, but I still need to add monsters to it. There's also the Gavea Crossroads Cave to be worked on. If I don't work on it, one character will not be met.
And there's also other recruitment quests that I need to get done, like the Red Riding Hood character, Garras recruitment, and hopefully the Schwarze Reiter.
If I keep my head over my shoulders and work on things one by one, we should have those updates coming out.
