New Guild Member, Tweaks on the game and more
Hello again, sorry for the delay on the update. I've been struggling a bit
to work on this game update, even more since I'm trying to wrap it up,
so the game doesn't feel unfinished, so I kinda took my time working on it.
Today's update brings new stuff and tweaks, but sadly, not the promissed
dragon boss fight (I still need to work on it). But, I hope the new guild
member makes up for that, now let me break through the update with
some highlights.
Rebalances and Tweaks
The game passed through a few rebalances.
The first rebalance, is that a good number of weapons got damage nerfs.
Those damage nerfs wont make the weapons useless, of course, but they will
not feel powerfull enough to cheese through bosses with ease.
The second rebalance, is that monsters will now gain more damage based
on their POW and INT stats (respectivelly, POW will increase their physical
damage, while INT increases magical).
The monsters themselves should feel a bit more tougher when attacking.
Also, small monsters got an extra health boost based on their level (which
used to be none before this update).
And made the spell Healing Song have its area increase with the skill level.
City Gavea Additions
The City of Gavea got some additions to it, whose are:
Mountain in the town
Added this mountain to the town. Probably will be favored by dragons and bird creatures. Right now, there's only house doors and lacks npcs.
In the future I'll add more to this.
Gavea Church
This Church is where the Gavean Acolytes commune. There happens masses, and they prepare religious missions and also perform burials on the graveyard behind their church.
An INN
Added a INN to Gavea, on the first intersection south of the town.
You can get your party fully healed by paying a night on it. Right now, paying a night on the INN doesn't skip time.
There are also a few npcs that are here, whose you can speak with.
Chef Joe's Pub
A Pub has been added to the game, and Chef Joe has moved from Gavea Guild Academy to here.
Now, he can also sell you food items, whose increase your character stats for a number of minutes.
Be sure to visit him if you want some boosts. Other than that, this place lacks npcs. I'll add them on
future updates, even more since this place seems perfect to place lore pieces.
Guards in Gavea
The City of Gavea got a few guards wandering through it.
Those guards will protect the citizens of the town whenever a threat invades the place.
Like, for example...
Blood Moon in Gavea
Blood Moons now affect the city of Gavea.
Monsters will spawn inside the town when the event is happening, but you'll be totally safe if you stay
in interiors during the duration of the event.
Be careful not to be a victim of this super natural event even when inside the town, since even Purrates
uses the event as a way of trying to invade the town too.
Events at Event Square
Events will be happening at the Event Square during certain weekdays (in real life time).
Feel free to check out who will be performing at the stage during different days.
Gavea Bullies Showing up
A few bullies have been appearing inside the City of Gavea at night.
Be careful when facing them, since they're despicable.
Healers in Gavea Training Field
With the addition of the church in Gavea, the Gavea Acolytes can now perform jobs in the region.
One of the jobs they're performing is healing injured adventurers on the Gavea Training Field.
Feel free to run towards one of those acolytes if your characters are hurt.
New Guild Member: Priscila
Priscila is the newest recruitable character. She will join your guild if you help her with a few situations that happens
with her during her visit to Gavea. Depending on what you do on her recruitment quest, might be easy or difficult
to convince her to join your guild.
She also introduces a new mechanic that musician and dancers skills will have.
Ensemble Buff
The Ensemble Buff is a buff that music spells will apply on characters other than the caster.
That buff will be applied on them even if the spell is not benefitial, but isn't a bad buff at all.
When musicians or dancers use musical or dancing spells while under the Ensemble Buff, their
music and dance spells will have increased power effect, so they will get stronger.
Having multiple musicians performing next to each other will increase the power of such spells,
but might end up sacrificing combat power meanwhile (since there will have less characters attacking),
so use wiselly.
Easter Event 2024 [March 17th ~ April 14].
Sorry, I couldn't prepare anything for this year's event, since I was working mostly on finishing this update.
But, the easter eggs are still spawning, and they will still give unique loot if you break them.
Go go hunt them.
Kiki acquires Cooking skill
Kiki can now cook food for your guild members.
Each food she can cook will require ingredients that can be found in the game world.
Making your guild members eat the foods, will give stat boosts for a number of minutes.
I was actually wanting to implement that for quite a long time. Feel free to give it a try.
Also, food items had their stack increased from 8 to 99, so feel free to stack many of the same
food items on the inventory.
Change Log
Nerfed the damage of a number of weapons.
Removed a odd delay with camera zooming introduced previous update.
Supressive Fire skill will no longer hurt allies in the way of the shots.
Added a few new bounty quests which includes either getting Pet Food items, or getting a baby or pet egg.
Added Dead Hands to Lavanda Cave B1F.
Added missing eye glow to Purrates.
Added a INN to Gavea.
=> You can pay to rest there, and restore all your characters health.
Healing Song spell now has an area increase based on skill level.
Added a minor stat boost to small monsters.
Increased by 10% monsters damage multiplier based on their POW and INT stats.
Splitted characters outfits from their body sprites.
=> Some character sprites might have issues regarding the changes. Be sure to report them if you notice any.
Attempting to catch pet will no longer use the pet food right away. Which means catching pets doesn't require 2 pet foods anymore.
Increased the maximum stack of fish derived food from 8 to 99.
Added a new Bloodmoon monster to Lavanda Cave B1.
Plasma Eater Skull headgear now correctly gives 15% Poison debuff resistence.
Added some Guard npcs that will be wandering around Gavea.
=> Those Guard npcs are allies, so no need to worry about getting close to them.
Blood Moons will now spawn monsters inside City of Gavea too.
Added a few Bullies that may spawn in City of Gavea at night.
=> They're despicable.
Tweaked a bit more the Alchemic Cerberus boss fight:
=> Husky's Resurrection skill now has the cooldown cleared when it's his turn to act.
=> Rottweiler will no longer try using Take Down on minions.
=> Rottweiler will now respect the cooldown of Take Down skill, so he wont be spamming it on far away characters.
Sneak Attack skill got changes:
=> Before, it used to increase damage inflicted on targets without aggro by 10% + 15% per level (160% damage increase).
=> Now, it increases damage inflicted on targets without aggro by 10% + 1.5% per level (25% damage increase).
Priscila added as new recruitable guild member.
Food buffs now persists after changing maps.
Added some events to Gavea Event Square.
=> Starlight Howlers band will perform there during Thursdays.
=> Priscila will perform there during Tuesday, if she's recruited.
Added a Pub to Gavea.
=> The Pub is located north of Gavea Arena.
=> Chef Joe moved to there, and will now sell some food items you can buy.
=> => Those food items will increase your character stats for a limited amount of time when used.
Kiki acquired Cooking skill.
=> That skill will let Kiki produce a range of types of food items.
=> More food recipes might come in the future.
Easter Event is up and running [March 17th ~ April 14].
That's about it for this update. I hope you like it.
I'll have to work on some stuffs to make the game world a bit more interesting, including also
future quests too. And also the dragon boss fight.
