Tunshi Zhe's Hunger Update

The update with the new map and the new boss fight is out now, and it can be experienced as of now by anyone.
First of all, lemme introduce you the new field.

New Field: Cliffs of Lament

This new area is connected through the north of Gavea Farmlands and Travellers Path.

Those cliffs got that naming after an event resulted into people ending their lives in this place out of depression, and bringing up a giant sized problem towards the edges of Gavea.

Those fields are plagued by the boar creatures Forest Bully, whose will either charge or "exhale" on their victims, and also the dangerous Anopheles, whose will suck dry the blood of their victims.

There are also some ore veins that show up on this field. They will give you some raw ores and sometimes equipment strengthening items when destroyed. Since there's no character available yet that allows mining them, will take a while to break those veins.

Remember when I mentioned the giant sized problem? Well...

Tunshi Zhe's Repel Boss Fight (Wednesdays and Saturdays)

This is the newest boss fight added to the game. The Urgent Requests for facing the dragon can be found on Gavea Guild Academy during Wednesdays and Saturdays. After getting the quest, you can choose when you want to complete it.

This boss fight is different from the others, since you will have to help the Gavea guards repel a voracious dragon from the shores, without eating anyone. Captain Garras will command the fight, and will give out orders as the fight goes on. Follow up his orders and your group will live.

If the dragon manages to eat up to 7 fallen characters (they must be incapacitated to count as fallen), be they soldiers or even your guild members if you're not careful, this boss fight will fail and you wont be getting any reward out of this, other than some experience.

If you manage to beat this boss fight, not only the dragon will throw up all swallowed allies, but also some of the things it were carrying on the stomach. Maybe some interesting loot could come out, or material for powerful gear too.

Once the boss fight event is over, wether by doing it successfully or not, the dragon will retreat and will return again in one of the days you can take the request again.

Do notice that none of the guards of Gavea call the dragon by its name...

Better Lighting in Gavea

A terrible experience the game could offer when you just started, was arriving in the City of Gavea for the first time, and finding out there there were nearly no lighting to the northeast of the town.

This update fixes that issue, by adding more lighting on the way, that way anyone can follow up the road to the Gavea Guild Academy, and proceed with their introductory quests.

I also took the liberty of adding 2 benches next to Günter statue.

The Newbie Writer

This little quest is a bit important for me, because I added 2 stories that I never had got to finish when I was studying as part of the books Denise writes.

Denise is a Newbie Writer who need people to read the books she wrote and give feedback about the story. Her quest shouldn't be very hard, but it's important for another reason, because I've been testing a bit the writings, and boundaries of it, since I also added 2 extra books to the list with "odd" stories, so be sure to let me know what do you think of the writing of the quest.

The quest will also have the appearance of a character that will be causing troubles in Gavea in the future, so is a good moment to meet that person. Beside, I'm pretty sure you've already bumped into some of his goons, and maybe even beaten them (or got beaten by them).

Skills Tweaks

A new change this update brings is buffing many skills damages.

A thing I've been struggling with since I begun working on this game project, was balancing skills to make them deal actual damage.

Generally, their debuffs and dps carried the skills, or simply using them was just to make the character attack faster. That changes now, and damage dealing spells, or at least a good number of them should be relevant now.

Check out the change log for the list of skills affected, and how.

Also, Rose's Witchcraft skill got the "Summon Great Boiling Cauldron" skill. That skill will pull small foes close by and dunk them inside the cauldron, cooking them alive.

If the monsters inside are defeated, their body will be destroyed, they will drop extra loot, including racial related loot.

By the way... Accidents may end up happening...

Added more lighting to Gavea. Mostly on the market and also on the way to the Castle and Training Field.

Well, that's about it for this update.

Sorry for taking too long to release this boss fight, but I were experiencing technical issues when working with it, most of them related to the navigation system of Unity.

I think the boss fight might actually be a bit underwhelming compared to Gelking, but maybe the difficulty increase as the boss health drops will make up to that. Updates can end up bringing changes and improvement to the boss fight. And be sure to send me feedback about it, that will help a lot.

What's next...? Well, there's a bunch of guild members that need to be finished developing, and be introduced to the game.

More quests, and I don't mean guild academy quests, will be a great addition. The Farm Owners in Gavea Farmlands got their own unique designs but no dialogues and quests yet. Maybe that's what I should aim for next. Also, there's the Bigfoot gang in Gavea, and the Demoness too... Better I work on those one at a time.

Beside, one thing I want to do, was add Gavea Sewers third floor too. Gotta explore further that place, and get closer to whatever boss could be on the last floor of it (which isn't the third).

I hope you enjoy your gameplay, and that you have fun. :)
